Didn’t the “first responders” on 9/11 have health & disability insurance through the departments they worked?
for? Were they not also covered by Workman’s Compensation insurance?
Were they not doing the jobs that they had chosen & were paid to do?
Why should these guys hit the $7 billion jackpot for doing their jobs?
Why shouldn’t any medical bills be the responsibility of their departments and insurance companies?
Why do liberals try to wrap the flag around this money grab and call anyone against it Un-American?

I was a Detective who worked a block from the WTC and was there on 9/11
I also continued to work at the site for the next 18 months with only a small Heppa Filter in our squad room because we believed Christine Todd Whitman who lied and told us the air was safe
In December 2006 I sustained an on duty injury which left me paralyzed from the waist down
I subsequently underwent 2 back surgeries which gave me very limited ambulation only with a walker and I am confined primarily to a wheelchair
I have a series of health issues related to my workers compensation injury but have also developed emphysema as a result of 9/11
I pay for my own health insurance and workers compensation does not cover 9/11 it only covers the back injury that I sustained
Due to the fact that I am wheelchair bound I was unable to get up to Mt Sinai Hospital in the Bronx in order to sign up for the first responder program
DON’T talk to me about ” jackpots ” or benefits because I have not gotten squat or a damn nickel from the Federal Government !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
