what is the ceromony called when a person in the army dies.Like the flag folding ceromony?
lol i know its a funeral. but isnt there a special word for the service.
Military funeral (funeral detail for those coordinating it). An active duty member is given full military honors with a bugler, pall bearers, a chaplain, and a senior member (E-7 or above for enlisted, officer for officers). The chaplain conducts a brief service, taps are played, the pall bearers fold the flag, and the senior member presents the ensign (flag) to the next of kin. A retired member’s funeral may lack the chaplain and bugler, depending on availability.
