Assisted Knife
Where can I find a really cheap assisted opening knife?

I’m looking for a utility knife that can’t be classified as a dangerous weapon in Illinois legislature. The knife has to be assisted opening, with no switchblade function AT ALL. It also has to have a blade under 3 inches long. And I’m looking for something like $10 or under(and don’t tell me there isn’t any, I’ve seen smith and wesson knives on amazon for $7, but they’re still dangerous weapons). Any ideas?

Although commonly confused with switchblade knives, they are indeed different. Switchblades, which are illegal, can be opened simply by the push of a button. An assisted open knife, however, must have pressure by the user to the blade at either the thumb stud or flipper.
