are spring assisted knives legal or illegal in california?
I got the smith and wesson black ops spring assisted opening knife and my parents took it away because they thought it was illegal, but the difference between an illegal switch blade and a spring assited is that a switch blade has a button without a safety on it and a spring assited knife has a lever on the back of the handle that has a safety.
