How do I discipline a puppy?
She’s a puppy pitbull. About 6-10 weeks, She likes to bite when she plays and i want her to learn it’s not okay to bite my baby sister. I roll up a newspaper and just swat her with it but she end up trying to bite and growl at. Do I hit her harder? I don’t want to make her vicious or anything. Any & everything is wlcome.
I give her a stern no, but she doesnt listen. Do i need to just be persistance?
She also has many shew toy!! Lots & lots of chew toys!!
From what I learned in training puppies you don’t hit them with anything. It only encourages them to bite more. What I was told to do when the puppy starts to mouth on items is hold their mouth firmly shut and say no. Your puppy is at a stage where it is teething please give it something to chew on such as a conk you can get them at any store that sells pet supplies.
Have fun with your puppy, they are such a joy. A lot of work but a lot of fun too!
