Should you tape the blade of a composite stick?

Hi, I just recently got a new composite hockey stick, (my first). And I was curious, should I tape the blade like a regular wood stick? Or should I just leave the blade the way it is? Thanks in advance

If you don’t want the blade to chip and therefore end the life of the stick, then yes. It also helps pad the blade- which because the composite is stiffer, is more important in helping you catch a pass then on a wood stick.

So yes, you should tape the blade.
