About how much does the boy scouts cost?
My son wants to join the boy scouts. I’m not completely ready to do it yet. Anyone know the approximate cost of boy scouts? uniforms? any other expenses related to boy scouting?
Generally, the registration fee is $10/year
Boys life (optional) $10/year (magazine for youth that promotes reading, and activities for boys)
Uniform shirt $22
patches for shirt $4-6
neckerchief $5
belt $6
hat $9
book (must have) $4.50
shorts/pants $22
sox $4
Wait on the uniform; the pack may have some used uniforms available, or you can pick one up from eBay for less than half cost.
pack/den dues around $5/month or $60/year for awards, crafts.
You will be requested to make a snack once in a while
