Buck Impulse
Return an Engagement Ring?

Store swore it would hold it’s value,

we actually went in a few times to the same store, it wasn’t impulse buying.

Store said it was sticker price 6000, but sold it at 2999. The appraised it on paper at 4800 for insurance that we took out.

We kept asking, what if we call off the wedding, multiple employees said that diamonds hold their value, and the swore that we could return or up trade it for different jewelery.

Well we didn’t work out, mutual reasons, but we don’t need the ring.

the jeweler offered us 200 bucks,

what to do, any suggestions?

That totally SUCKS!!!

Look through the contract/receipt very carefully. Perhaps the ring holds its value for a trade in but not cash. Do they have something that you might like to have instead of cash?

Do you know the names of the employees who made the claims to you? $2999 might be small enough that you can go to small claims court.
