Butterfly Knife
Can i buy a butterfly knife via the internet?
I want to buy a butterfly knife, but i’m not sure on the laws of having one. I live in jersey city. If i order one, will I get arrested for it?
I would call your local police department and ask them. You can do it anonymously if you want. It probably depends on the length on the blade and how you intend to carry it. They can tell you what size blade is legal to carry in your pocket, and what size would be considered a concealed weapon. You may also be able to carry a larger blade as long as part or all of it is visible.
I live in VA. Here if you can legally own a gun (not a felon etc) then you can carry one as long as it is in view. So you can strap a pistol to your belt and walk around town if you want. But if you want to put a small pistol in your coat pocket you need to have a concealed carry permit.
I know Benchmade makes Bali-songs with clips to be carried. They are the highest quality knives and last forever, but are also expensive. They range from $70 on ebay to over $200.
