Byrd Knife
Have you ever “tossed a meal” together and felt like you concocted an all time winner?
I just ‘microd’ some carrots, potatoes, and onions to soften them up. I then sauted this in the skillet w/ butter and added some corn (Green Giant) I seasoned to taste. I made some hamburger patties that I steamed/fried in the same vegetable skillet (to preserve unnecessary utensile usage) at low heat.
I like some mayo on my burger … the veggies were superb and at this point the only recognition of my perceived sumptuous repast is the way the dog gobbled up my donation because my other two roomies aren’t here.
Perhaps my titilated tastebuds are influenced by the pleasant sound of “Mack the Knife” in the backrgound … now “Turn Turn Turn” -Byrds-
Music is a great inspiration when cooking. Yeah, I go for the least amount of dishes to clean up too. Tonight I threw together some leftover chicken breast, pasta, various greens, and a few other things in the cupboard. Turned out okay. Maybe Pavarotti wasn’t the best inspiration. lol
