Cut Bone
Anyone else cut your spending to the bone?
I have cut my spending down to the bone. While I am still working I have determined that America is going into a major economic depression and many of us will be out of work next year. So we should save all the money we can before we lose our jobs and income.
I have cut off all spending for the rest of the year except for things I need. All spending for luxuries and out to eat dinner and wants are out. I hope to save up to $10,000 by the time the axe falls at work.
Anyone else cut off all unnecessary spending?
I did my saving a while back. Even with my retirement and investments tanking, I’m okay on the day to day stuff.
I want to keep my favorite restaurants open and will keep going on my regular schedule. Ditto Christmas–though I may do more coordination to avoid wasting money on thinks people don’t want/need.
I’m planning on some home repairs/projects and figure now may be the time to cut some deals…if no one else is buying, my money might look very good to the contractor.
