Day Wooden

whats good for cleaning every other day wooden floors?
these are the kind of wood that has diffrent paterns
& they are varnished, & has a sealer
i live in a apt..
dont say murpheys oil
it makes them dull..
Do you mean parquaid? If they are varnished that makes a big difference as varnish is harder to clean than poly. Poly you can clean with virtually anything, varnish is harder. If the Murphy soap made them dull, it probably is varnish, and the sealer may sounds like it is waxed based.
Depending on how dirty they are, I would carefully wash the floor in sections using a mild mixture of hot water and mister clean and a soft brush. Wipe and dry each section immediately as you move around. This also may make them dull, because varnish is usually covered with wax and wax turns dull when exposed to water. A swiffer won’t clean them properly and would probably also make them dull.
If you are going to be there for a while, I would get some bowling alley wax (that’s what the floor wax that I have is called) and wax and buff the floors with a machine you can rent for about $50 bucks a day. The wax not only will shine them up, it will cover up a lot of sins, like scratches etc.
