Who do you think is the best in these categories?
1. Pure shooter: All-time would have to be Glen Rice or Ray Allen (although lately Ray-Ray is slacking).
2. Rebounder: All-time would be Dennis “the worm” Rodman. 2nd place is too far behind to see.
3. Defender: I’d take Gary Payton over M.J. They didn’t call Payton “The Glove” for nothing.
4. Sic’ ball handler: Tough choice, but I like “white chocolate” Jason Williams in his prime with the Kings, with “Pistol Pete” Maravich running a very close second. Pete innovated it, Jason took it to the extreme.
5. Dunker: Never been a fan, but Vince Carter had some sick hops in his day, probably still does.
1.Pure Shooter:Ray Allen:I have never seen a prime Reggie Miller shooting although i have seen some of his highlights and he was sick shooter but i believe that with the tecnhique and skills Allen tops him.Allen will lead the NBA in most three point shots made of all time very soon
2.Best rebounder:I’m going with Dennis Rodman.He’s one of the most skilled rebounders thanks to his position,IQ and feel for the ball where it fall.The thing that impresses me is that he could get easily 18-19 rpg in his prime although he was 6’6,not athletic but had skills and was the master.Honarble Mention for Russell,(Moses)Malone,Wilt,Thurmond,Kareem,Gilmore etc
3.Best defender:Bill Russell because of his skills,the fact that he’s the greatest shot blocker ever,that he played defense which led the Celtics to 11 rings,great man on man defense,great post defense,great rebounding technique etc.This is why Russell is the greatest defender
