Doc Knife
Today my doc said my cervix is very soft and almost completely effaced, but zero dilated?
She didnt give me a percent, so im not sure exactly how effaced i am, she just said almost completely. What does that mean???? Plus she said im not dilated at all. What does this mean as far as labor goes? if someone becomes 100% effaced how long can they stay like that before going into labor?? This is my second child if that helps and im 35 weeks.
BTW the only reason she checked me was becuz i’ve been having a ton of painful braxton hix all week long, and my lower back has been killing me for the past couple days. Plus i’ve started feeling his horrific pain in my pelvis, it feels like the baby is holding a knife and shez shoving it thru my cervix! It’s a horrible pain, it makes me freeze on the spot and practically takes my breath away! Also the baby is head down, but she didnt say if shez engaged or not. Has anyone else felt that pain before???
im 37w 2d and im 2cm and 80% effaced..dr said head is very low and cervix very thin….. ive been 2cm since 35wks… but who really knws..ive heard being thinned out counts more then dilation anyawys, goodluck.
