What are the benefits of being an Eagle Scout?
What are the benefits of being an Eagle Scout, i earned the award last year. I want to know what i could use the award towards. What can the Eagle Scout Award help in life? How will the Eagle Award help get benefits? What kind of benefits?
The main benefits of the award are the skills and experiences you had earning it- it is a reward for accomplishment, not a magic key for the future.
Having said that, the US military will give you a bump in enlistment pay grade (not rank), and it looks really good on most applications for jobs or colleges. Wearing a subtle eagle pin works nicely in some social circles and makes a nice ‘in’ in several fraternal or service organizations.
You should also be able to tie a functional knot, cook a good meal, treat an injury, manage your money, lead people in a project, teach a skill, and more- lots of stuff other people your age cannot do.
