what would be the best choice for my next edc knife?

I lost my old knife which was a crappy letherman e301 (i think)
so i need a new knife, which one would be the best?

Gerber Applegate-Fairbairn Covert F.A.S.T

Bencmade Griptillian 551

SOG Flash II TiNi

Benchmade Griptilian is level above both, SOG Flash and Gerber.

The steel BM uses in griptilian is 154Cm, 58-60HRC which is much beter steel than AUS-8A that SOG loves so much and “surgical stainless steel” that Gerber has in their knife, which most likely refers to junk like 420J or something even worse.

Benchmade griptilian also has one of the best, or arguably the best locking mechanisms “axis lock”. I’ve tried pretty much all types of locks on the folders and not many come close let alone being better than Axis. Intuitive, easy to use and reliable. I have a few axis lock knives that are 10 years old already…

Also, blade geometry on Griptilian is much more utility/versatile design than those on Flash and F.A.S.T.

Add there quite bad reputation of SOG’s customer service and your decision is no brainer ;)

I like other BM folders better than grippy – http://zknives.com/knives/folding/benchmade/index.shtml
But, if you have narrowed down your choice to those 3 then Griptilian is a clear winner.
