How to Secure your Content Inside a Presentation Folder
There are many ways to secure your content inside your presentation folders. Depending on your specific plan for your content there are appropriate types of folder structures that you can have once you start your folder printing in earnest. In this article we will show you the ways on how to secure your content inside your presentation folders and the various appropriate content for each of them. With this guide, you should be able to dictate accurately what you need to your folder printer so that they can produce the presentation folders that are perfect for your report.
l The standard use of pockets – The most standard folder structure to secure your folder content is the “pocket”. That is why sometimes, presentation folders are also called pocket folders. Pockets are simple structures attached to folders where you can slide content inside. This can be large or small depending on what you want. They can even have different orientations if your content has customized dimensions. Most printers can offer presentation folders with vertical or horizontal pockets at varying depths in the folder itself. These pockets are perfect in securing various kinds of paperwork that are typically letter-sized or smaller.
l The special use of slits – Besides pockets, there are also slits. Slits are basically straight cuts within the folder structure itself where the corners of certain content can be secured with. Typically there should be two to four slits per each piece of content. Slits are usually used to secure something that must be simultaneously displayed as well. So for example, certificates and business cards can be secured on slits that are built in to your presentation folders. People will be able to see their whole content while they are still attached securely to the folder. Most presentation folder printers should be able to do this, so do not be afraid to ask if they have can do this feature for you.
l When straps are appropriate – Sometimes though, for larger and bulkier content, straps are needed in presentation folders. This can be in the form of a rubber or leather strap, but if need be you can use cheap twine or strings. Not all folder printers can provide this with presentation folders so you may have to ask if your printer has the ability to do it. Either way though, if you have a bulky item that needs to be stored in the folder, such as a booklet or catalog, these straps are great at keeping your whole presentation folder intact. So if it is needed, always try to find a printer that can provide straps for you.
l When adhesives are needed – Adhesives can also be used as a securing method for some of your presentation folders. They are particularly useful at securing non-paper content such as plastic and metal. For example, you may want to attach a plastic discount card in your folder for marketing purposes. Adding adhesives is a nice and fast way to secure it into the folder. Do not worry though about the cost, since most adhesives should be cheap enough, so it will not give a dent to your printing budget.
l Clamps and other bindings – Finally, for really serious content that lasts hundreds of pages long, you might want to invest in clamps and other binding techniques such as plastic combs to secure your presentation folder content. These types of binding devices are always reliable, but they do in fact make the folder a little bit more complicated and unwieldy.
So those are your options for securing content in presentation folders. You can mix and match these things if you want, as long as you use the appropriate feature for the appropriate content.
