What would happen if a Christian’s own priest or preacher told them that the religion was just a scam?
Would the Christian go on believing? This is the guy that brainwashed the Christian as a child; this guy is the very reason the Christian believes in Jesus mumbo jumbo. So what would happen if this guy said, “Look, certain information has come to light and it seems that I was wrong, I misspoke; there is no god, Jesus is a myth and the bible is merely a collection of fables and folklore. So, uh, sorry for destroying your life. Still friends?” Would there be a role reversal? Would the Christian then take it upon himself to bring his priest back to the fold?
It’s happened, and yes, the believers go bonkers trying to “save” their preacher.
