Gray Handle
Espresso filter holder went through the dishwasher and had a gray dust all over it. Ok to use?
The espresso filter holder (part with the handle that twists into the machine) was put into the dishwasher. When it came out it was dull looking and had a dust all over it. I cleaned the “dust” off, but was wondering it it’s ok to use. Apparently they don’t sell this replacement part.
I cant see it being a problem to use… It might just be scale from the machine. Give it a dip in some strong descaler and rinse it out before use. This might also be a sign you want to run a bit of machine descaler through your dishwasher too… Try this stuff: much stronger than i found in the supermarkets but it works a treat.
