Mini Green Parakeet??!!?
I am getting a mini green parakeet soon. Can you parakeet owners tell me if they are good pets or not? Are they fun? Tell me their life span, diet, everything. Thank you!

Budgies have a great personality!!
it took a while to tame him but my little budgie boy (Cheeky) is great company thoug h he wont hesitate to give you a little nip on the ear if he gets ignotred =P lol. anyways, budgies are a great pet, cheap to buy, cheap to maintain and all the love of a puppy, that you can lock up in a cage when u get pissed off at it. lol kidding!:) but they can also learn to talk pretty quickly and easily, at about 6 months cheeky could whistle ‘always look in the bright side of life’ and say hello to me and even himself if he gets lonely :p their also easier to tame if you get them as young as possible and be prepared for long hours of patience, dont just talk to it for one day then expect it to jump out of the cage onto your shoulder and sing to you the next day. but its all well worth it. also, be prepared to clean the cage about once a week.
you can just get basic budgie(Parakeet, same thing) seed from anywhere, pet store, grocery store, rural store, anything along those lines for only a few dollars. and their life span is approximately 6-12 years.
