Green Wood
Does anyone know well the areas of Turnpike Lane, Wood Green, Bounds Green and/or Tottenham in London?
We are thinking of moving to around these areas, and would like to know the opinion of anyone who actually knows the area quite well. Please only answer if you know the areas or a friend does, not just general reputation. Thanks very much!
I live just south of the areas you mention and they’re not too bad. You’ll be living between two big football stadia but I thik you’ll miss the crowds. Wood Green has a good shopping centre and excellent transport links. There are plenty of buses into Central London, and of course there is Wood Green tube station . Bounds Green is a bit quieter but again has good transport links, with buses, tube and train. Turnpike Lane is just south of Wood Green really, so pretty much the same area really. Tottenham again, good transport but depending where you go you could have Spurs fans in the area. Shops are good again as is transport.
Generally the areas aren’t too bad, can’t say I know much about crime but would say it’s the same as the area I live in (Finsbury Park) so if you find a nice quiet street somewhere I think you’ll do okay.
