Knife Glass
Need any tip to cut glass or mirror. Any simple tool or knife?
You need a glass cutter, they sell them at the hardware store. Even with this tool, cutting glass is tricky so practice on something else before you cut the piece of glass that you need. You must also wear goggles to protect your eyes, this is VERY important. The cut must be straight from one end of the glass clear across to another end – you can not make a right angle cut to end up with a square piece of a smaller size. If the glass is important and can’t be ruined, take it to a store that sells glass or repairs windows and have them do it.
With the glass cutting tool, you press on the tool and score the glass first, then you hold the glass with one hand on each side and sort of crack it on the scored line. It dosn’t always crack where you scored so you need to practice. Thick glass will be much harder to cut. Did I tell you to wear goggles??? You don’t want a chip of glass in your eye!
