Knife Sandvik

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME CHOOSE THE BEST KNIFE STEEL?
I’m looking into buying a new edc knife and i’m into the kershaw blur, kershaw junkyard dog 2, sog aegis and the cold steel recon 1. Only problem is that i don’t know which blade Is the sharpest and which blade will hold an edge better. I have been informed that the kershaw blades are made of; 13c26 sandvik steel and that the sog uses Aus 8 steel. I also believe the cold steel recon uses Aus 8A steel which is stronger.
Can someone educate me a little more on the steel and which blade they would personally choose as their edc knife? Thanks I really appreciate it
The finest edge I have ever found is from a VG-10 steel. It was on a Spyderco Stretch (which you may consider, btw) VG-10 does not have the end-all edge retention (I hear), but it is stropable and fairly easy to sharpen. AUS-8 is fine, but nothing special. Sandvik steels are, in my experience, better but still nothing to write home about. My EDC knives vary between 154CM (Benchmade Mini-Griptilian and Zero Tolerance 0200), 8cr14MOV (Benchmade Vex), CPM S30V (Benchmade Skirmish). CPM S30V is my favorite for edge retention and a keen edge. VG-10 gives a better edge, but I have no direct experience of its edge retention.
