Infection and treatment for small knife wound?
I accidentally grazed my stomach area with a small knife yesterday. Its very superficial (not at all deep) and it didnt draw blood. However, today it is inflamed and red and it stings a little.
Any cause for concern?

i would be concerned about the following.
what on earth were you doing with a ‘small knife’ near your stomach area!! are you mad?
look. the knife. was it clean? (were you gardening with it or was it clean from the dishwasher?!)
if a wound bleeds a little, dirt particles are washed out of the graze . if not bleeding enough, you should have washed it with a little water and a clean cloth / gauze / cotton wool.
these particles are just causing superficial irritation of the wound which can become infected if you do not look after it well.
HINT: get some antiseptic cream from your pharmacy (savlon will do fine) and apply twice a day. lavender oil helps for this purpose , too. if it gets really red, raised (a lump) and sore as h*ll, the following tip applies to you:
TIP: go to your GP if worried about wound infection.
