Question about knife laws in georgia?
I live in sc and im looking at buying a kabar usmc short knife its 9″ long with a 5.25″ blade,here in Sc its legal for me to carry even though im a minor.
But If I go to Ga can I still carry it?
NO it is sure as HELL NOT legal to carry here in SC…ANY knife with a blade over 2 inches is ILLEGAL in this state EVEN with a CCW permit……
there is legislation in the works to change this but as of now the laws still say the legal length in SC is 2 inches….
** that being said most LEOs do NOT enforce this law….but they can
in GA u can carry ANY knife with a Weapon permit….
and GA laws also say 2 inch knife blade length limit without a weapon permit…..
*** forgot to add that there is a private property as well as hunting fishing exemptions in both states….so as long as ur hunting/fishing or on private property with owner’s permission u can carry what u want…..but in public its a no-no..
