Why does mayo change colors?
Ok. Say you put some mayo on a sandwich. You leave the knife u used sitting on the counter instead of rinsing it off. About an hour or so later you go downstairs and look & the mayo on the knife went from white to a clear color.
Why does it do this?
mayo is whipped, which creates air bubbles and makes it fluffy and white, but when it sits out the air escapes and it returns back to its original state, which is oil, egg, and vinegar. never eat mayo that doesnt look right or has been sitting out for more than 2 hours, that can make you really sick.
