Kydex Sheath

Making kydex camouflage?
Ok, so the question maybe isn’t military in nature, but I don’t know where else to post it…. and maybe someone here has some experience
I have a knife that came with a black kydex sheath, and I’m wondering if there’s someway to make the sheath match my ACU’s. The blade has a very unique shape that really wouldn’t fit anything “universal” (the knife is a Desperado, from Cold Steel, if you know it…)
I’m thinking of something I saw a while ago, made for rifle stocks, where they dip the stock in a tub, with a camo film on the surface. As the film wrapped around the stock it would be permanently bonded. Is that something thats only done from the factory, or is it something they sell as a DIY kit?
Is there some other way color it? I’m almost thinking about just cutting a piece of ACU fabric and wrapping it…. but hopefully there’s a better way
First off, you don’t want everything you’re wearing to be the same colour and pattern of camouflage – if it is, you’ll just end up as an odd blur in other people’s vision with regard to your surroundings, which means they’ll notice you, which is a bad thing.
As far as getting a ‘digi’ look, what I did in the Marines, and still do, is just take 2-3 colours of spray paint (Usually a loam, forest green, and dark tan), and then take a patch of chicken wire (or similiar) and use masking tape to tape off small, square patches to create the ‘digi’ look, then simply lay the wire with the tape over the item you want to paint, and spray lightly over and around it, rotating it and changing colours as you go.
