Marine Serrated
straight edge or serrated edge for my ka-bar ?!?
im looking at picking up up the ka-bar desert fighting/utility knife . BUT i can not decide if i want serrations or not . as a future Marine i intend to have this knife for several months, use it at work or in the woods and possibly take it with me upon deployment . (if i can even do that ) . i know serrations are handy for cutting rope and other synthetics a little quicker but as far as extended field use i think the straight edge would be easier to maintain . help a brother out here .

The K-bar does not come with a serrated edge. A straight edge is easier to hone and will do whatever is needed.
