Mossy Green

The impossible is Possible With Green Screen Studios
I wondered for a very long time how the frail looking girl in the picture had the guts and the daring to stand next to a crocodile that looked ready to gobble her up at almost any second. Since I had not heard of Green screen Studios until then I thought that both the actor as well as the director and of course the other actors in the movie were either very courageous or crazy. The picture in the background was that of a stream situated in the middle of a very dense jungle. There were quite a few rocks on the bank of the stream and hence it was difficult to make out the crocodile that was hiding menacingly in the rocks.
I did not realize then that the whole thing was filmed within the confines of the now well known Green screen Studios. Since I am not a technical person I really could not imagine how the whole thing could have been set up. At first I thought that they had moved a crocodile into the studio! Now, if the giant croc was actually physically there, how on earth would it be possible for the actor and of course the entire filming crew to fit into the studio as well? There would always be the fear that the croc would get at them. Apart from this, the croc looked quite real; there was no chance that it was in any way artificial or made of some synthetic material.
My next thought was that even if they did get the croc into the Green screen Studios and managed to put the girl together with it, how they managed to create the stream and the rocks. Now, I am a bit dumb, I’ll admit to that. But I am not dumb enough to imagine a stream being recreated in a studio, complete with rocks and flowing water and a mossy bank!
After breaking my head trying to decipher what was going on, I decided that I should waste no more time in using that brain of mine to figure out how that picture had been shot. My brain, not being one of the best in the country, could take no more. When I approached the cameraman who had done the shot on the Green screen Studios, I was able to understand how the whole thing had been worked out.
He told me that he already had quite a few shots or clippings of crocs in a forest and on the banks of streams. To begin with, he shot the actor in front of a huge green screen at the Green screen Studios. Later he superimposed the picture of the croc onto the green screen. The final result showed the girl standing in front of the croc on the stony bank. Of course, care had to be taken to ensure that she had the right stance and expression to fit a person coming face to face with a menacing and evil looking croc.
