Neat Miniature
Should I get a Chinchilla or a Rat?
I have a few questions to ask…
So I have been thinking about getting a rat- but then my friend told me you get to do more with a chinchilla. I have always thought Chinchillas were neat- but I have been thinking it might be to much hassle.
I don’t need to worry about a price for either of the animals.
I live in a apartment- and we are only allowed to have small caged animals.(This doesn’t matter on the size of the cage, it can be big- and I was thinking of getting a big cage either way.) The landlord guy said that we could have a chinchilla if it was miniature, and we could have a rat either way.
The apartment is quite big also.
I would prefer one that is more active, but I guess that depends on how the animal was treated before I get the animal.
I have heard that Chinchilla’s stink- and I have heard they don’t- which one is it? (I understand it also counts on how clean the cage is.)

RAT i own 3 they rock mine play basket ball
chinchillas we have them at the zoo were i work need dust baths at least once a week you cant bathe them or else there fur will become mats and i am not saying they aren’t good pets they are
but VERY HIGH MAINTENANCE and can be very pissy at least the ones at the zoo were i work are and they get handled a few times a day
