Old Knife
December 15th, 2003

How do I tighten the rivets on my old butterfly knife without replacing them?
Use a steel punch and a small bolt. Have a buddy hold the knife with the rivet on top of the bolt. Make sure the bolt is touching the rivet. Take the punch and use a hammer to tap it (the punch) lightly angainst the other/up side of rivet and re-mash it together. The rivet should be soft metal.
This will work but could also scratch the knife a bit. Not recomended on colector items

Pieces of You $0.01 Jewel’s debut album, Pieces of You, reveals a special voice–strong and focused on both the whispery verses and the hooky choruses. The recording also exposes an unfortunate tendency to present trite, hackneyed sentiments as if they were oracular visions from a young prophet to a jaded world. For the most part, Jewel sings to her own acoustic guitar accompaniment, but she has a lot more in common … |

Frank Sinatra: The Reprise Collection $71.10 The pundits claim that Ol’ Blue Eyes did his best work with Columbia in the ’50s, but there’s more great ’60s and ’70s stuff here than you can shake a stick at. After all, Sinatra wouldn’t start his own label only to sing schlock. This four-CD set was released to celebrate The Chairman’s 75th birthday and it traces the mellowing of that tremendous voice like the aging of a fine wine. It also adds … |
