Open Marines
So I need help deciding between the Army and the Air Force? While not my 1st picks im open to marines and navy?
This is what im interested in, combat infantry, airborne HALO/HAHO falling, some combat diving, sniper training, advanced hand to hand combat training. Basically I want to take any advanced training offered to me. Im extremely fit. I have taken the self assesments for SEALS, Rangers, Force Recon, and Combat Control. Im leaning more towards the Army Rangers. Any advice appreciated
Well to be truthful, the listed desired jobs are the hardest to get in to. The Air Force has Combat Control, TacP,and Para Rescue. The washout rate is very high. Same for the other services. Say a class of 30 start, through injury and mental/physical issues (they realy get in your head) about 3 to 10 might make it.
If you are not in the absolute best shape. Not some gym bunny, you need true muscular strength, to be a strong swimmer, a true team player and able to hike/run and survive in the worst environments, don’t apply.
With that said, there are lots of jobs in the Air Force that are just as rewarding.
