why if enemy army open a gap in military line, it is considered a very dangerous situation ?

The US has not been in combat since 1953 using conventional warfare tactics. Everything since Korea has been chasing after insurgents. Even the NVA operated more as an insurgent group than a conventional force. Training for it takes place but There are no active Veterans of this type warfare.
The Battle of the Bulge is the most famous. You may have heard that the 101 was surround in Bastonge Belgium until Gen Patton moved 3 Divisions (4th Armored, 26th and 80th Infantry). While surrounded supplies were dropped for the 101 but fell into the hands of the Germans so even ari drops can go wrong.
Your existing supply depots are also at risk so you may loose all of your reserve ammo and food.
On the other hand you expose your flanks if you are the aggressor. The 80th ID went to the east of Bastonge above Luxembourg City to cut off the German supply lines. They took heavy casualties but did the job with great difficulty.
While hitting their flank, their reserves are on yours. It is very close to a Catch 22 situation. You hit their flanks and frontal attack. They have units at the original line that are now on your flank. Gets down right tricky not always knowing which way to attack!
