opinel is a french company that makes simple, nice pocket knives but their availability is patchy in the US..

How long (looking it up online* as I am curious) is the blade?
If the blade is over 4″ long, you may have problems with the police.

In regards of “availability is patchy”, this may be due to the fact that when folded closed the length is 7″ long. If the handle is that long, then you are looking at a 5″ blade or longer which will cause problems.
