Outdoors Flying

(If you wanted to): How could you attract Musca Domestica (house flies) to you outdoors?
I’m trying to do some experimenting with flies and so I’d like to know how to bait them to me and get them to land on me outside (a substance I can put on my skin or some other tactic).
Thanks in advance.
One method I have used to attract house files is to take a mid-sized jar and fill the bottom with animal waste. If you leave this open jar outside under relatively dry conditions (basically, not allowing it to be flooded by rainwater), after several days to a week you should have attracted some flies and could potentially have live maggots. Another method is to use rotting meat. Rotten flesh is actually the preferred diet/egg laying location of musca domestica, so collecting larva could be accomplished by using rotten meat in substitution for fecal matter with the setup I mentioned above.
Although actually capturing the adult flies is rather difficult with this method, if you allow the eggs to hatch and pupate, you could hatch out your own adult flies in about a week.
If you wanted the flies to actually land on you….. the best means might be to rub your skin with rotten meat. This is kind of repulsive, not to mention unsanitary, so “breeding” your own flies for experimentation purposes are not only easier, but more “health conscious.”
Hope this helps.
