Virtua Fighter 5: Does it need more diversity?
Virtua Fighter is a Great Arcade Series but a few details have me puzzled.
1.)Why did Vanessa Lewis need a race change VF4 to VF5?
2.)Wolf Hawkfield has always had Native American undertones why couldn’t he just be an actual Native American?
Wolf has had several Native American outfits in the VF series. The storyline lists him as a Woodsman turned Pro Wrestler but we never see him with an axe, saw, musket or a Frontiersman, Trapper / Hunter or Lumberjack styled outfit. The name “Wolf “has strong Native American significance.
There are already plenty of Asian and white characters in the VF series. Now there is one less black characters with the new Vanessa. Vanessa was a very fit blond haired black female now she is a white female. Vanessa was the heaviest and strongest female in the series and she looked the part. Now she has brightened up and slimmed down.
The Tekken Series is far more diverse.
Virtua FIghter is always big on stereotypes. All the characters are stereotypes of what they actually are. That’s why there’s no story. Hah. But yeah you’re right Tekken is more diverse.
