RKO vs. Diamond Cutter?
Since they’re so similar, which move is/was more impressive to you?
I contend that DDP’s Diamond Cutter is far better than Randy Orton’s RKO. Both wrestlers signaled their respective moves, but the Cutter was almost always surprising. DDP also did a lot of variations of the move. He did it from a body press (Sick Boy), powerbomb (Eddie Guerrero), from the top rope (Disco Inferno), and while dressed as La Parka (Randy Savage). Orton always gets low, grabs the opponent, jumps, and brings the opponent down. It’s rarely/never a surprise, either.
Your thoughts?
Orton has only botched it once, which is phenomenal. DDP sometimes miss judged it (not his fault, just a combo of him and his opponent).
Orton has done variations
- Running (HBK at Backlash)
- Hanging from Turnbickle (Rey on SD)
- Jumping (Rey from ropes)
- Onto ropes (Taker in HiC)
- Double RKO (w/ Edge on HBK)
Both are good, but i like the RKO better. DDP got screwed when he came to WWE
