How do I get rid of illegal martial art weapons?
In California, it is illegal for people to possess nunchucks, or certain knives because because nunchakus are defined as two sticks with a chain/rope, and the knife is over 2 inches long according to the laws My friend and dad doesn’t know any better by not knowing what to give me for my birthday.
How do I get rid of illegal non-fire arm weapons? I don’t want to get in trouble by the law.
Are you part of a martial arts studio or a martial arts academy, currently enrolled in classes? If so you should not have any trouble, at some ranks you’re supposed to have them, usually it’s higher ranks. If you’re not currently enrolled in a martial arts school, then you should could pawn them or trade them but I don’t see the problem. Lots of people have non-firing weapons, I have several but I’m in martial arts. If you’re a black belt or higher, you shouldn’t have any problem explaining them. Just don’t carry them around in your car or something, that’s just asking for trouble even if they’re in plain view. Plus if there’s NOT a reason to suspect you would use those to harm someone else, I wouldn’t worry about it. In California the cops are dealing with gangs, illegals, FIRING weapons, nunchakus usually are not used by people who don’t know how to use them. For one thing if they’re the REAL thing, they hurt, and it’s real easy to hurt yourself.
