I am appalled at the brutality of seal pups getting bludgeoned to death at the hands of their predators,?

but I was wondering, are pregnant female seals also targets of these types of massacre as well?

Usually it is only the seal pups that are killed. The “hunters” only want the pups at a certain age, because their fur is white and fluffy. They hunt them at a time when their ice habitat is like a nursery. Most females have already given birth, and the pups are a couple days old to a few weeks old. The pups are easy targets because they are alone. The females feed them heavily, and then go out to see to feed for a while. So the “hunters” come when the females are gone, to kill the fattened pups.
Boycott all Canadian products until they address and outlaw this massacre.
