Single Blade
Is there any way to alter a single blade buzzbait to…..?
get it to be retrieved more slowly, and still keep it on top? An adjustment to the blade perhaps? Thanks.
Dane there is a way, I don’t know what kind of buzzbait you have there. To add more lift, try bending the blade’s rear lobes a little further. It will allow you to slow down the retrieve without losing the action and appropriate noise level. You can probably accomplish this with a pair of needlenose pliers. Try this too, I’ve always wanted to do this with a buzzbait. Take the blade off and reverse it, that may really slow it down. Remember to add a trailer hook to your buzzbait so you don’t miss those late strikers. I hang my new buzzbaits out of the car window on the way to the lake. Helps break them in and gives them a better noise. Try it with one and cast one you didn’t hang out of the window. You’ll hear the difference. Tight lines to you.
