What is the best place for Asperger’s diagnosis/treatment in Raleigh Cary area?
What is the best place for Asperger’s diagnosis/treatment/therapy/advice in Raleigh/Cary/NCSU area? I haven’t been officially diagnosed yet, but I’d be more comfortable going to be diagnosed in the same place I’m going to count on treatment. I’m almost 21, and I am certain that I have Asperger’s and Anxiety due to the Asperger’s. I also have relationship issues due to this. (I’ve never been on a date, no first kiss, etc.) However, most of the places in the area that I can find online seem geared toward small children. Are there any adult treatment places for Asperger’s or Autism Spectrum disorder?
Sorry, can’t help you with figuring where to go for treatment; however, if you want to get evaluated to confirm the diagnosis, when you call around ask if they administer the ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Scale) as part of the assessment.
