Which is the best KA-BAR Knife to get?
I wish to purchase a KA-BAR knife, I will be using this as a do everything type knife, the knife will be abused. Given this which is the best KA-BAR to get? The original 1095 steel KA-BAR, the “Next Generation” 440a steel KA-BAR, or the D2 steel KA-BAR. Also for a do everything knife should I get the KA-BAR in a straight blade or partially serrated? I was thinking about just getting the 1095 steel KA-BAR and putting on a few coats of black spray paint, one of my friends (a former Marine) recommended that. Thank You for the help.
