Tanto Pocket
hello, can you recommend me a good tanto point tactical folder.?
i’m looking towards CS Recon 1 but i think its too heavy, so can you recommend me a good pocket knife that has almost a 4″ blade or less and i prefer a straight edge. i plan to use as an EDC and a general purpose knife so i want a strong one but if its possible a medium priced one. thank you for all your effort.
I carry an Aegis tanto by SOG. Comes serrated and non, i opted for serrated because it cuts though rope much faster.
Price was steep but it is certainly worth it. about $90. It’s my EDC knife, it’s always sharp enough to shave with, and i can tell you, i don’t baby my knives. It comes very sharp, and keeps an edge like no other. Light sharpening on the blade after heavy use and it’ll be great for years.
They come in all different finishes and handles. Usually they all have assisted opening, which is makes 1 hand opening a snap.
I got the all black blade which looks awesome, but if you cut through wire etc, like i do it’ll wear down eventually (mine has 5-6 lines where it’s steel colored and not the black)
The bayonet clip is the most durable one i’ve had, but then again all my other EDCs were around $40-50.
