Timer Trapper
April 2nd, 2010

What are “Trapper” series knives used for?
Why the need for 2 blader many old timers carry them?
Many of the old non-locking blade knives had two different or three blades of different designs. They were marketed that they served a few different purposes, such as a gutting and skinning blade. The main advantage I find with these type of knives is that you can work with them longer before you have to resharpen them. If a blade starts to get dull when you are in the middle of quartering a deer, you can just pop the other blade open and finish the job before you grab the whetstone.
