Which is better? A SwissTool or a Leatherman?
Which multitool do you recommend more, a Victorinox SwissTool, or a Leatherman?
I’ve got a Leatherman Wave and I’ve used it more, than any other pocket knife I’ve ever owned.
Both Victorinox and Leatherman make excellent products, both are very good tools, I don’t think you would go wrong with either. You should find a store that has them both and see how they feel in your hand, how heavy they are, the size, etc.
The SwissTool gives you access to all the blades and things without opening up the knife, with the Leatherman Wave, you have access to the 2 blades, the file and saw when closed, and have to open it up to get to the screw drivers and scissors. I think that is the biggest difference.
Leatherman products are made/assembled in the USA, if that means anything to you. Victorinox products (I believe) are made in Switzerland.
